Not much time this week. One of my dogs has been sick and trips back and forth to Ithaca can sure put a damper on your week - but there are definitely things that need noting this week.

  •  Not only have the Panthers now won more games than in any other year in franchise history - with a win this week they will clinch their first divisional title.

  •  By trading The Magic for Santana Moss last week, (to surprisingly little fanfare), WoWW caused The Magic to lose, The Panthers to win and The Lightning to become tied for their division. Rumors are that The Borg will be building a statue to GM McMahon. Ground breaking is scheduled for early 2004.

  •  WoWW is once again leading the scoring race thanks to the aforementioned Santana Moss.

  •  The Sharks are in a position to win the South for the first time ever. 2 games up with 4 to go. However they were in similar positions in 2001 and 2002. We expect similar results.

  •  Wow did the Crushers go from good to suck in a hurry.

  •  The Knights are the first team to lock up a spot in this years "Sauer Memorial Bowl". Tickets are available at The Knights box office.

  •  After going 25 and 7 and leading the the league in scoring 2 straight years The Storm find themselves trailing the Maulers for the division. Keep an eye on this one. It could be the tightest race of the year.

  •  Break up the Lightning! 6 Straight wins! Keep it up the entire league is behind you.

Anyway - I'll make these quick.

Maulers (5-4) vs. Crushers (3-6)

The Crushers have fallen off at a rate faster than Col. Piro chasing after a 50% discount ice cream truck.

Maulers 75 Crushers 45.

Lightning (6-3) vs. OnSlugs (5-4)

This is a must win for both teams, but with Deuce on bye it looks like The slugs will fall to the juggernaught that is The 2003 Lightning.

Lightning 60 Slugs 50

Knights (1-8) vs. Strom (4-5)

You can throw the records out the window when you get these tow teams together for the annual Naughton and Assoc. Bowl. You can't however  throw out the fact that that The Storm have Faulk/Holmes/Harrison/McNabb.

Storm 80 Knights 55

Cougars (4-5) vs. Magic (6-3)

The Cougars seem to have a weird scoring thing going on score 30 one week than 100 the next. They scored 30 last week so do the math. The Magic are up against the wall though and I've seen them just pull some evil voodoo out when they need to. So...

Magic 105 Cougars 100.

-= Upset Special =-

 WoWW (4-5)  vs. Nukers (2-7)

A-Train is back (told ya Dave ;) ) and unless something happens to Holt, Bulger is the best QB in the league right now. WoWW has  No Portis - No Elam - Ricky is running like a girl. (Cut the 'dreds you 'Mo'.) The new addition of Keenan McArdell might help but..... --I don't like WoWW's chances in this one.

Nukers 65 WoWW 60

-= Game of the Week =-

Panthers (8-1) vs. Sharks (6-3)

The Panthers bring their 3-wide fun and gun offense to The Sharks to face one of the top 2 back attacks. Both teams are having the best of their respective fantasy careers. Do The Panthers look past this game to the playoffs? Do The Shark drop one at the end of the season when they really need it....again? Either way tow top scoring teams leading their divisions in a week 10 game. Should be a fun one.

Panthers 80 Sharks 75.

Good luck to all,

Jim

New Feature: "Joke of the Week"

Col. Piro is so fat that the only thing keeping him from joining Jenny Craig is the door..
