Fantasy Football 2008




 

1. The commissioner shall have absolute authority to decide any and all disputes and/or appeals. Should the Commissioner's team be involved in a dispute this authority shall pass to the Treasurer. The commissioner shall also have the final approval over any and all trades and/or transactions.  No trade or transaction is considered finalized until the commissioner approves the trade on the Gamer's web site. Any decision the commissioner or treasurer may make will be final and binding on all parties concerned. NO EXCEPTIONS.

2. The entry fee is $121.00, of which $21.00 is considered "in trust" to cover the cost of any transactions or trades owners may make during the season. Any unused portion of the $21.00 will be refunded at seasons end. The entry fee is non-refundable once the draft has begun. NO EXCEPTIONS.

3. Due to the previous taxi squad vote Trading fees are as such to remain consistent.

Cut a guy , Pick up a guy,  Move from taxi to the roster or visa versa $1.50

Trades of players is $3.00 per guy

An owner must already have the funds available on deposit with the treasurer or Commissioner  before any transaction will be allowed by the commissioner or Treasurer. It is the owners responsibility to make certain that they have the necessary funds available on deposit with the treasurer should the initial $21.00 allotment be exhausted. NO EXCEPTIONS

4. The division of prize money will be based on the number of teams and shall be decided by the commissioner  and treasurer prior to each season's draft. All monies collected, less the cost of software and stats, shall be distributed as prize money. 

5. Franchise Players

A)  1 week prior to each seasons draft each owner will designate four (4)  "Franchise" players. Franchise players are retained by their team for as long as they are so designated. 

B) If a trade occurs after the 4 keeper players are chosen, the team MAY pick up a player from his personal roster to replace the traded player but not from the free agent pool until draft day.

6. Team rosters shall consist of 3 running backs, 3 wide receivers, 2 quarterbacks, 2 tight ends, 2 kickers and 2 defense/special teams. Each weeks starting lineup shall consist of either:
Straight: 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 K and 1 def/special
or
Run and Shoot: 1 QB, 1 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 K and 1 def/special
line ups.

7. In addition to the regular team roster each owner will also be allowed a two man "Taxi squad". The Taxi squad may consist of players from any position. Taxi squad players may NOT play in a game unless moved to the regular roster. Taxi players may be moved at will to and from the regular roster, but is subject to a fee. (See Rule 3) Each owner must designate which players he is placing on his Taxi squad after the draft and prior to the start of the regular season.

8. Any new owner entering the league will automatically "inherit" the team and roster of the departing owner. The new owner will be allowed to designate his own Franchise and Keeper players from the previous years roster without restriction.

9. Beginning in 1999 teams will draft in the reverse order that they finished the previous season. Any tie breakers shall be determined by total points scored with the team having the higher total receiving the lower pick.

10. The submission of all team's official designations, transactions, trades and weekly starting line-ups MUST be posted on the Gamer's Fantasy Football web site. It is each owners responsibility to make certain that they check this site as often as possible so that they receive any information put out by the commissioner, treasurer or another owner regarding league business. If you did not hear about it then it is your own fault. NO EXCEPTIONS.

11. Each week the starting line-up for EVERY team must be posted prior to the start of the first NFL game that week. Should an owner fail to post his line-up prior to the start of the first NFL game each week then the most recent line-up that owner did post will automatically be used for the current week. NO EXCEPTIONS.

12. The league will consist of four three team divisions. The four division winners will advance to the playoffs. The regular season will be thirteen weeks long with weeks fourteen and fifteen being playoff weeks. 

13. The rules and guidelines will be followed to the letter. Anyone that does not understand what NO EXCEPTIONS means please contact the treasurer and he will be glad to explain it to you in simpler, more graphic detail.

14. Trading

A)  You CAN NOT trade future draft picksor players unless the dues for that year are paid.

B)  If you have a need to trade your players or picks for an upcoming year, dues for that year must be paid in advance, non-refundable. After the dues are paid you may trade picks or players at will in accordance with the pre-described rules.

C) Trading of player stops after week ten (10), (Deadline the end of that Monday night game). NO TRADING what so ever until AFTER our leagues championship. After the championship, trading of the aforementioned picks may resume but NOT players unless the criteria of 17b has been met.

D) No player can be picked from the free agent pool after the super bowl and prior to the next season draft.

E)  All Trades are still subject to the approval of the commissioner.

15. Scoring

Offensive Scoring

  • Passing TDs 4 points each
  • Passing Yards 310+ yards = 1 point for every 10 yardsPlus a 5 point bonus @ 250 yardsPlus a 5 point bonus @ 300 yards
  • Passing Two-point Conversion 2 points each
  • Rushing TDs 6 points eachPlus points for RuTD of yardsPlus points for RuTD of yardsPlus points for RuTD of yards
  • Rushing Yards 110+ yards = 1 point for every 10 yardsPlus a 5 point bonus @ 50 yardsPlus a 5 point bonus @ 100 yards
  • Rushing Two-point Conversion 2 points each

  • Field Goals 3 points eachPlus 1 point for FG between 40 and 49 yardsPlus 2 points for FG between 50 and 59 yardsPlus 3 points for FG of 60+ yards
  • Extra Points 1 point each
Scoring for Runningbacks
  • Receiving Yards 60+ yards = 1 point for every 10 yardsPlus a 5 point bonus @ 50 yards
  • Above Offesive Scoring applies
Scoring for Tight Ends
  • Receiving Yards 60+ yards = 1 point for every 10 yardsPlus a 5 point bonus @ 50 yards
  • Above Offesive Scoring applies
Defensive Scoring
  • Total Defensive TDs (inc. ST TDs) - 6 points each
  • SACK - 1 point each
  • Safeties - 2 points each
  • Interceptions - 1 point each
  • Defensive Fumbles Recovered - 1 point each
In the event of a tie, the team with the highest scoring player that week is the winner.

16. Ties:

Divisonal: Overall Record, Divisional Record, Head to Head Record, Total Points Scored, Highest Scoring Player, Least Points Allowed.
Weekly: Highest Scoring Player

17. By joining the Gamer's Fantasy Football League all owners agree to adhere to the above rules and guidelines.
