Been WAY too busy lately. I'm sure ya'll have been really disappointed about that. My partner has been on vacation 2 weeks and all hell broke loose. Anyway, looks like only 4 teams, Cougars, WoWW, Lightning and Maulers have been eliminated form the champs bowl, leaving the rest of the field wide open with 3 weeks to play. All in all, a pretty competitive year so far.

Anyhow on to week 11.

Storm (7-3) vs. Magic (7-3)
The longest win streak in the league (3) belongs to the Magic. onsidering this team is held together with duct take and glue, that's remarkable. The Storm currently is the leagues high scorer with 827 freakin points. And even though The Storm got their heads handed to them last week by The Knights in the annual Naughton and Associates Bowl, I still have to believe that points beat luck. (Funny I have been saying this for 3 years about the Magic and true to form, guess what, Faulk Disappears this week.) I don't care if there is a god, the Magic must lose.

Maulers (2-8) vs. Lightning (2-8)
After ten weeks of play, if you total up the number of wins these two teams have, you still don't come up with a total greater than the number of Big Macs the Col. can eat at one sitting. Granted you would probably have to total all the wins of all the teams in the league for that, but it's an interesting stat none-the-less. Both teams are in a bit of disarray, building for 2003, but The Lighting seems to be a bit more explosive on offence if not inconsistent. (85 - 25 -34 -92 points scored over the last 4 weeks.). And after doubling last seasons wins, they should be up for this one.

Sharks (5-5) vs. Nukers (5-5)
TAlthough the yearly friendly rivalry always makes this a big game, both these teams are still in a position to win their division, so there's a little more at stake this year than a simple phone call saying " OWNED!" Give it up for the Nukers though; week after week they seem to pull some one off the scrap heap for career day. Earlier it was Lamar Smith, last week it was Mark Bulger, and this week I fully expect Jose Cortez to leap out for 50 points worth of field goals to win it.

Nukers 60 Sharks 55

Cougars (3-7) vs. Crushers (7-3)
The only this that will stop the Crushers from winning this week is if Bledsoe falls off the bus and breaks his leg. Even then it would be 50/50.

Crushers 78 Cougars 50

-= Upset Special =-

WoWW (4-6) vs. Panthers (6-4)
After giving up a league high 712 points in ten weeks, WoWW has been mathematically eliminated from the Champs Bowl for the first time since 1998. So this week they will just have to beat up on the Panthers for the fun of it. Rick "The Puppet Master" Sauer is coming off a HUGE day last week not only leading the panthers to a week 10 high scoring output of 111 points, but seeing the Lightning score 92 points as well which should solidify his position in the "Axis of Power." The only downer on Coach Sauer's week is that his players are starting to refer to him as "Meat Puppet Master". However, true to form, the coach simply shrugs it off calling it a "term of affection". Regardless of how he is "motivating" the players The Panthers are still within striking distance of a division title. However, history tends to repeat itself and these two things are constant. The Panthers don't win titles and WoWW doesn't lose to The Panthers.

WoWW 75 Panthers 40

-= Game of the Week =-
Onslaught (6-4) vs. Knights (7-3)
Both these team need a win this week to keep the dream alive. Both teams have really solid line ups good match ups too. This really could go down to the wire and be important enough of a game that the winner goes on to the Champs Bowl and the Loser is looking at the Bridesmaids. Taking into consideration, line-up, home and away, strength of schedule and the coin I just flipped, I like the Knights in a close one.

Knights 71 Onslugs 69

Good luck to all
