Week 3 – (Hey, what can I say? I’ve been a bit busy…. Better late than never. )

Magic (2-0) vs. WoWW (1-1)

In normally a juggernaut type battle, the Magic come limping in to this week with out the help of Fred “The Fragile” Taylor, or Duce “How the hell could my mamma name me Duce”, Staley.  Still with Warner and Moss this can be an explosive team any week and the Magic has a way of making other teams victories, disappear.  WoWW on the other hand finds themselves in the unfamiliar position of scratching their way back to the top of the South division and completely healthy for once. The Magic would have to pull a rabbit (or running back) out of his ass to win this one.

WoWW 75 Magic 55

Knights (1-1) vs. Lightning (0-2)

It may be true that lightning never strikes twice, but heck we’re all just waiting for it to strike once. But it won’t be this week.  The Knights are coming off a devastating, divisional Week 2 loss at the hands the Magic and will need this game to stay in the hunt.  This Knights match ups look exceptional this week, and they should easily stomp out one for the “W” column. Maybe next week for Rookie Owner Joe “No” Brainerd.

Sharks (2-0) vs. Crushers (0-2)

The Crushers have scored a league low 56 points in two weeks of play. I’m not sure I’ve seen anyone suck this much since the Col. at a stag party.  The Sharks have leaped out to an uncharacteristic 2-0 start. With the emergence of Ahman Green and an apparently healthy Jamal Anderson, the Shark may actually have transformed themselves from bottom swimming, scum sucker into a contender. (“The Sharks a contender”, Man I never thought I’d type those words in a sentence.) Anyhow, the South Valley Sub Par’s… err Sharks, should win easily again.

Sharks 70 Crushers 45

Cougars (1-1) vs. Nukers (0-2)

The Nukers have had 183 points scored against them in 2 weeks, that’s just damn painful. They are also averaging 34 point is offence per week, that’s just plain horrific. Things get a little easier this week against a Cougars team struggling for an identity. Owner Jaime ‘Don’t call me Paul” Lynn was heard giving his team a pep talk this week with such memorable phrases as, “Winning isn’t everything, it’s the everything”, and “Remember the Alimony”.  Look for the Cougars to recover from the Week 2 spelunking by the Col. with a solid win.

Cougars 64 Nukers 40

Maulers (2-0) vs. Panthers (1-1)

Not a good week to be a Panther. Gee, maybe starting Deuce McAllister will help them. (I’m not bitter.) The good news for the Panthers here is Eddie George is on bye. The bad news is the Col. still has the rest of his team that is averaging 94 points per week.

Maulers 85 Panthers 65

Game of the Week.

Storm (2-0) vs. Onslaught (0-2)

But for a few coaching errors and two major injuries, The Onslaught could easily have a better record. This week they look a lot healthier with some decent match ups, but are running into a very solid Storm team. With McNabb, Faulk, Harrison et al., the Storm should win this game easily. However, given the strange happenings of this fantasy season, and factor in the fact that it is Owner McQueeney’s birthday, I smell an upset here.

Onslaught 68 Strom 55

 Good luck to all.
