All but one race has been decided and it looks like this week will determine many of the seeding arrangement s for the bowl games. The contestants are:

Champs Bowl: Magic, Onsluts, Storm and Crushers
Bridesmaids Bowl: Knights, Nukers, WoWW, __________
Sauer Memorial(To be held in South Valley this year): Maulers, Lighting, Sharks, _____

Panthers and Cougars: If Panthers lose and Cougars win, Cougars go to the Bridesmaids since they now hold the head to head tiebreaker. Otherwise the Panthers go.

Seeding is based on record where best plays worst in round one. If you have any questions about seeding or placement look HERE right now it is last years, but I'll update when I know the final numbers.

Also, as is tradition, if anyone else would like to write the "Previews" for the playoff, just let me know. After 13 weeks it tough to keep the smack fresh so you write it, I'll post it. Let me know.

On to week 13.

Onslaught (7-5) vs. Cougars (4-8)
Having secured their first Champs Bowl play off birth in franchise history and an injured Deuce McAllister being a game time decision, one could easily see how The Onslaught may over look the Cougars this week. That said the cougars need this game if they are to have any hope of reaching The2002 Bridesmaids. When interviewed on the importance of this game for The Cougars franchise, Coach Lynn proclaimed "The future ain't what it use to be, but I think we can batten down the hatchlings and although the other team could be trouble for us if they win, we wont lose because we are due!" Personally I can't argue with that.

Sharks (5-7) vs. Crushers (9-3)
Unless The Sharks recent petition to have Fred Lane start for them at tail back this week is approved by the league, I suspect things will get back to normal for them. Unfortunately for them, normal is losing. The Crushers have been putting up stupid numbers all year and now, much to the rest of the leagues chagrin, Warrick Dunn has recently decided to resume his football career. Over the last 3 weeks The Crushers has scored 78-98-106 points. That's just FILTHY numbers and there is nothing in the schedule that indicates those numbers will be reduced. Glad Im done playing these guys in 2002.

Maulers (3-9) vs. Nukers (6-6)
After back-to-back 80+ point performances The Nukers, lead my KordelL Stewart, were only able to mange 31 against The Lightning in week 12. Which leads one to question, were The Nukers "Team Bulger?" And do they have the depth to compete in the upcoming Bridesmaids Bowl? With KordelL having a more favorable match up this week and the fact that The Nukers are playing The Lowly Maulers, it's a good week for The Nukers to find out a little more about KordelL and pick up another win before the playoffs.

Nukers 65 Maulers 55

WoWW (6-6) vs. Storm (9-3)
Coach Sheridan hasn't sobered up since McNabb went down and with out a 40+ point performance from Priest Holmes last week, The Storm would have been hammered by the lowly Maulers. The Storms roster has so many red crosses that I wouldn't be surprised if fans got confused this week and showed up to donate blood instead of watching a game. Ether way, I would consider this an upset but since the Storm 0-3 against WoWW over the last 2 years, it wouldn't be much of one.

Lightning (3-9) vs. Magic (8-4)
Got to love the Lightning in the Match up. Besides Gannon being on fire as of late, Kevin Barlow will sit this week giving Hearst 100% of the carries and Torry Holt matches up nicely against The Magic's Warner. Besides that, The Magic's contract with the devil, only counts in games that matter.

Lightning 85 Magic 65

-= Game of the Week =-
Panthers (5-7) vs. Knights (7-5)
For the second year in a row The Knights have come up short down the stretch. With the number of chances they had to knock off the magic this season and blew, they really have to be considered for the "2002 Mama Cast Choker of the Year Award." However they do come up with big in meaningless game and this one mean little to them in terms of playoff hunt. It DOES however mean something to the Panthers. If they win, they are in The Bridesmaids Bowl, lose and it is up to fate. That motivation coupled with the fact that Tomlinson and Dillon have some fairly rough match up, should be enough to make this one an exciting season finale game for both teams.

Good luck to all
